Description: Zonificación del Plan Nacional de Cartografía para las zonas rurales de Colombia donde se especifica un área y escala de producción mínima de los productos cartográficos (cartografía básica, MDT y ortoimagen). La base de datos geográfica contiene los límites de las entidades territoriales, producto del proceso de deslinde aprobado por el ente competente para las zonas rurales y la delimitación de las zonas urbanas realizada por el DANE donde se identifican las cabeceras urbanas clase 1 y 2, sumado a la localización de áreas metropolitanas o distritos especiales, los cuales se clasifican de acuerdo con la categoría de cada municipio establecida por el Ministerio del Interior (Colombia en Mapas, 2021).
